My name is Jill, I live on the seacoast of New Hampshire with my husband and our puppy. I have struggled with my weight for most of my life and I am fed up! Fed up with thinking about it and fed up with worrying about it. More and more I have become interested in the whole foods movement – focusing on fruits, vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats and lean proteins.

I started this blog to both be my food journal and to track my journey as I discover a healthier lifestyle. I use the word journey because I know it is going to take some work and dedication and I know I won’t always be perfect (I probably never will be!) My goal is to think about food in a positive way focusing on the quality of food I put into my body, rather than a negative way about simply losing weight. I am loosely following the weight watchers program to keep my portions and daily calories under control.

My goals for this blog are to log my foods from the day, as a way to hold myself accountable. I’ll probably write about my new adventures in gardening as I get more experience. I would also like to share tips, tricks, and research.
